What a newborn session is like

The baby is the boss.

MWD Photography is a family-run portrait studio on St. Charles Road in downtown Lombard, photographing Chicagoland families since the mid-1980s. Owner and photographer Maggie Blaszczyk follows the baby's lead, so sessions stay calm, safe, and unhurried.

The studio is kept a few degrees warmer than feels comfortable for adults, because a warm, cozy room keeps babies sleepy and content. There is time to feed, burp, and settle without watching the clock.
